Lyrebird Exercise Classes

Community consultation and assessment of existing physical activity services, indicated a lack of services specifically for Aboriginal people in the Macarthur area.  To increase regular physical activity participation of Aboriginal people in the Macarthur area, Tharawal Aboriginal Corporation in partnership with the Local Health District set up group exercise classes in the area. 

The Lyrebird Exercise classes commenced in November 2010 in Airds. A further two exercise classes have commenced in Macquarie Fields and Eagle Vale. Lyrebird Exercise classes are for Aboriginal &/or Torres Strait Islander Adults (aged 18 years and above).

Lyrebird Exercise Class Macquarie Fields

Mondays 6.00 – 7.00 pm
Location – Monarch Oval, Fields Road, Macquarie Fields
Cost – $3 concession or $5 adult per class
No childcare available

Lyrebird Exercise Class Airds

Tuesdays 6.00 – 7.00 pm
Location – Airds-Bradbury Central
Cost – $3 concession or $5 adult per class
Childcare Available

Lyrebird Exercise Class Women Only Aqua

Wednesdays 1.30 – 2.30 pm (during school terms)
Location – Eagle Vale Leisure Centre, Emerald Drive, Eagle Vale
Cost – $3 concession or $5 adult per class
